About Us As the owner of the Best Western Black Hills Lodge in Spearfish, I want to extend to you a Warm Welcome to Spearfish and the Black Hills of South Dakota. Those of us that live here are fortunate to live in such a very beautiful place! This hotel was built in 1988 as a Kelly Inn and changed to Best Western Black Hills Lodge in 2000, with renovations done in 2005-06. In 2008 I bought the hotel and have made numerous improvements also, but I am most pleased with assembling a staff that is providing the best in hospitality, cleanliness and service. They have received several awards in the past couple years; including Best of the Best in Customer Care, Excellent Housekeeping Award, and Directors Award for Quality (all from Best Western International) and the Great Service Star from South Dakota Tourism. You WILL have a great experience when you stay with us. Our team is ready to serve you!
